Franz Pomassl
DE > Franz Pomassl ist Dozent im Fachbereich "Kunst und Sound", Begründer und Leiter des Forschungslabor Sound / Soundstudio und der wissenschaftlich-gestalterischen Interdisziplin "Sound" am Institut für bildende Kunst an der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien. Er hat an der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien bei Arnulf Rainer, an der Universität für Musik & Darstellende Kunst bei Dieter Kaufmann und Tamas Ungvary und an der Tokyo Zokei University studiert. 2011 Habilitation an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste Wien im Fach Bildende Kunst/Kunst und Sound. Er ist Mitbegründer und Mitglied des Forschungskonsortiums »ISSA« (International Society for Sonic Arts), das sich auf avancierte, zeitgenössische sonische Kunst fokussiert, und ist seit 1990 Co-Betreiber des ersten österreichischen Elektronik-Labels Laton.
EN > Franz Pomassl is a lecturer in the field of "Art and Sound", founder and director of the research laboratory Sound / Soundstudio and the scientific and creative interdisciplinary sound at the Institute for Fine Art at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Arnulf Rainer, at the University of Music & Performing Arts with Dieter Kaufmann and Tamas Ungvary and at the Tokyo Zokei University. 2011 Habilitation at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in the field of Fine Art / Art and Sound. He is a co-founder and member of the "ISSA" research group (International Society for Sonic Arts), which focuses on advanced, contemporary sonic art, and has been co-operator of the first Austrian electronics label Laton since 1990.
